Predator by Terri Balckstock

Predator: A Novel
Book Description:  Bestselling author Terri Blackstock presents another stand-alone novel, Predator. The murder of Krista Carmichael's fourteen-year-old sister by an online predator has shaken her faith and made her question God's justice and protection. Desperate to find the killer, she creates an online persona to bait the predator. But when the stalker turns his sights on her, will Krista be able to control the outcome? Ryan Adkins started the social network GrapeVyne in his college dorm and has grown it into a billion-dollar corporation. But he never expected it to become a stalking ground for online Predators. One of them lives in his town and has killed two girls and attacked a third. When Ryan meets Krista, the murders become more than a news story to him, and everything is on the line. Joining forces, he and Krista set out to stop the killer. But when hunters pursue a hunter, the tables can easily turn. Only God can protect them now.

My Review:  Predator by Terri Blackstock is a book that every teenager or social computer person MUST read!  I cried after reading this book.  It's so real and so true!  I feel that it's a serious warning for our "computer age."
There's a saying on Facebook:  "Not everything that pops into your head, needs to be shared on Facebook."  To me this is the essence of Predator---keep your life sacred and don't give  "evil" a chance to make good on taking out their sin on your account.  Also, I think more of us need to check our friends.  If you don't know one or more friends....block!  You wouldn't let an unknown person into your home.  Why let him into your life?!?!?
I worried with Megan---I felt her pain and most of all  I wanted the evil guy caught!  I truly don't cry when reading books but I cried through most of Predator.  I felt the pain and intensity of young, innocent girls being trampled by a predator.
Predator is a grip-your-seat suspense thriller!  Be prepared to finish this book once you begin it because it's a  I.just.can't.put.it.down.book!  I wanted to stop reading but I couldn't!
After reading this book you may be like me and check out every friend on your Facebook account.
Oh, friend, do be careful and guard your life and loved ones!  Also, take time to read this 5 star book.  It will change your computer viewpoint.

  4. I'd like to read this book!

I was amazed when I first got on FB at how many people who barely knew me and were never my friends in day to day life, wanted to be my friend. I wasn't comfortable shareing a part of me with them nor did I want to get caught up in their lives. Luckily before I got on FB I received good advice from my sister to be discerning about who I let on to my FB account. The word "Friend" means something. Words have meanings.
