Neat, Frugal Cleaning Tip for the Dishwasher

How to Clean Your Dishwasher By Using Lemonade Kool-Aid

I just recently learned about this neat cleaning agent....tried it last Saturday and WOW!!  my dishwasher looks so clean and white. Buy some cheap Kool-Aid lemonade for about 20-cents and pour it into the dishwashers main washing dish. Run your dishwasher while it's empty. To get the best maximum cleaning effect,  nothing should be obstructing the cleaning process.
By cleaning your dishwasher about once a month, it will help clean any lime deposits and iron stains that may be lurking inside your dishwasher. Lemonade is the only flavor that works, so make sure it's the right kind. Cheap generics will work just fine too. The citric acid in the lemonade mix will wipe out any stains. If you want to really do some MAJOR cleaning {let's say, for example, you've never cleaned your dishwasher before}, add some baking soda (about a teaspoon) to the mix as well.
It worked GREAT for me.  Did you try it?  Leave a note in the comments and let me know how it turned out for you.
