Sisterchicks In Wooden Shoes

Sisterchicks in Wooden Shoes (Sisterchicks Series #8)Sisterchicks In Wooden Shoes is probably one of my all time favorite books!  Of course, I absolutely (and I do mean absolutely!)  love all of the Sisterchick books.  The escapades and adventures of the friends or sisters makes one want to grab a suitcase and your sisterchick and have an adventure of your own.  These books are easy, light reading but there are many truths throughout the stories.  I guess this book would be a favorite because the "girls" go on a trip to Holland.  Not only are there tulips and wooden shoes but the story ties into Corrie ten Boom and her family.  I'm not a crier my nature but there is a chapter in this story that really touched my heart and tears came to my eyes...I had one of those "eye opening" moments where the Lord helped me to "see" beyond the story.  If you want to go on a trip but don't have the time or finances right now then go to Amazon.com and get this book...it's actually better than a trip---no packing or passport.

  1. Tammy! Oh my goodness! You took the words right out of my mouth, I mean literally! I was going to write and tell you I absolutely looooved Sisterchicks in Gondolas! I felt I was with them the whole time experiencing what they were experiencing. I wanted to throw myself on the mattress and slide down the marble staircase too! I'm very careful about the Christian fiction I read since I don't feel some of them are done very well, but this was great! I stayed up until 12:30am last night finishing it and I haven't done that in a while. It reminded me of many good times and soul searching times I've had with dear friends and my sisters. I'm buying a copy for my mom, sisters, daughter by marriage, and a friend.

    I give Sisterchicks a BIG THUMBS UP! ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

  3. Even though the series is geared toward women older than me I love them too. My favorite is Sisterchicks in Somberos. :)

  4. Oh this is a nice book! It can give you a lot of adventure and moral lesson while reading. They just tackle issues that really happened in real life.
