My Review: Th
is is the first book that I had the pleasure to read by Vickie McDonough. I love the way she begins the story-"Sometimes God asked difficult things of a man, and for Luke Davis, what he was fixing to do was the hardest task ever." Since I live in Texas I enjoy reading "the way we talk" cuz, as you know, we Texans are always "fixing" to do something. Anonymous Bride is a fun, sometimes cackle out-loud kind of read. You'll enjoy reading about Lookout, Texas and all the misadventures of Rachel, Luke, Jack (aka- Jacqueline), and the mail order brides. Rachel longs for something she thinks she can't have. Luke doesn't know he what wants but his cousins help by giving him a none to gentle push to get on with his life. And Jack is trying to keep them all in line. This is a book y'all should read! I enjoyed this book and look forward to Book 2 in the fall. It's a definite 5 star read!
