My Review: Scott Foster is one of those children's authors that catches your attention. His easy way of writing brings out the child in all of us. This is "magical" in itself.
We met Bradley and his sidekick, Finnegan, in the Magic Snowflake. And now Scott Foster brings us another wonderful adventure in The Magic Sled. In The Magic Sled Bradley and his dog, Finnegan, are off on another adventure....this time with the magic sled. Christmas is here and Bradley like any normal child is full of excitement. He finds "the magic sled" under his Christmas tree with an attached note to his parents. Said note tells Bradley's parents that after Bradley found the magic snowflake that this magic sled is meant for Bradley . . . signed Santa.
Bradley finds neat little things in his stocking with notes attached that are like clues for Bradley and Finnegan to follow. As the saying goes, "All roads lead home." but not this road. It leads to a grand surprise!
Bradley and Finnegan follow the "clues" and find one sweet adventure after another. As they go on a whimsical journey to the North Pole. They encounter Snicklefritz and Snosey. Discover what’s inside the Treat Tower and Elf Village and find out about the biggest secret of all, how Santa can deliver presents in one night!
The Magic Sled is another 5 star story for children ages 5-12. This is a great story to bring out a child's imagination. A great-tastic book for after Christmas too. Grab a blanket, some hot cocoa and read this story to your child one wintry afternoon. You'll enjoy the story as much as your child will!
This is not only a great story full of adventure but the illustrations are lovely bringing the story to life.

In Foster’s first book, The Magic Snowflake, a young boy and his dog first make a wonderful discovery deep in the woods. Little did they know their lives would forever change all because of the wish made on a magic snowflake. After following a sweet rabbit down a path they had never seen before, Bradley finds a child’s sled high up in a tree. Find out how the sled got up there and how it changed Bradley’s life is forever! What wish does Bradley make on a magic snowflake? And what jolly stranger does Bradley meet on his journey? Discover these and other mysteries in this, the first book in the Magic series.
In Foster’s second book, The Magic Sled, the story continues on Christmas morning when Bradley’s parents get a not from Santa attached to the magic sled. It says “Bradley wished on a snowflake to be Santa Claus. He knew that he and this magic sled were meant to be with each other. He is to use it to train to be the next Santa Claus!”
About the Author: “Growing up in Michigan as a child, with snow at least a foot deep covering the ground and festive lights hung on every home in our neighborhood, Christmas was always a magical time for me,” says Foster. “Hours of sledding in the deep snow were followed by steaming cups of hot chocolate. The warmth of the fire in our stone fireplacequickly removed the chill I felt. I often took long hikes in the snowy woods behind our home. Here the stillness of the snowy landscape proved to be a perfect environment for my overactive imagination.”
Scott Foster’s artwork can be found in many public and private collections around the country. He is best known for his limited edition Christmas cards, the “Santa’s Helpers” series. He resides in Anderson, South Carolina with his wife and son.
