Book Description: Trish James is tired of being rescued. When a spooked horse claims her husband’s life, she’s determined to blaze a path for herself and her traumatized son without outside help. But will that mean leaving the place etched on her heart?
Andy Tyler has had to struggle for everything, and starting a new law practice in Miller’s Creek, Texas is no different. Though prepared for business challenges, he’s not prepared for falling in love–especially with yet another woman who will probably abandon him for her career.
Will Andy and Trish be able to see past their limited human understanding to take a path less traveled?
My Review: Having read Texas roads by Cathy Bryant I was thrilled to read her newest book a PATH less traveled.
Trish has been hurt and blames God and life's circumstances. Tyler, new to Miller's Creek, is facing challenges in his life as well. So when Trish and Tyler meet Tyler doesn't need or want a new love in his love right now. He has other "things" to think about and work out. Trish isn't prepared for a new love either. But as only God can He brings good out of bad.
Trish becomes swamped with financial struggles, guilt of her husband's death and trying to be a single mom. When her young son can't seem to take anymore of her struggles and "it" all becomes to much Trish begins to wonder if she can rely on her family. Tyler struggles with his boyhood, family issues and trusting. A fantastic 5 star read about letting go and letting God!
This is a fast read and a WOW! is that ever great.I.wish.the.story.wouldn't.end! Cathy has done an excellent job of creating a realistic world at Miller's Creek and well rounded characters make it seem like home.
No sleazy scenes, no bad words and learning to trust God make this christian fiction/romance at its best! Don't be dismayed if you haven't read Texas Roads because a PATH less traveled is a stand alone read . . . so what are you waiting for? Go read! Looking forward to reading the next book, A Way of Grace, due out in 2011.
