I adore Mary Engelbreit's artistry. I bought this book because it was about Valentine's Day and because of the illustrations. This is a wonderful book with absolutely amazing pictures. The story is of a little girl but I read it to a class of boys and girls and the boys seemed to enjoy it too. It has a simple but effective story line. It also makes a great gift book....gifting books is one of life's simple pleasures.

I received a gift book yesterday called Sisterchicks in Gondolas! I'm looking forward to reading it. It's a blessing to have friends who think of you.
ReplyDeleteI give books to students in my Sunday School class on their birthday.I teach three grade levels so by the time they leave my class they will have received three books at least. I gave one to a girl yesterday. It's a older child's book called Twice Freed by Patricia St.John. It is based on the book in the Bible called Philemon. It was one of my favorite Christian Children's books when I was a child.
