Book Description: Everything seems to be going perfectly for Maya Davis: She has a great job at a coffee shop, gets along with her parents, and is happily single. That is until her best friend starts dating Maya’s high school sweetheart.
This funny, heartwarming fiction story by best-selling author Erynn Mangum uses the power of story to challenge teens to discover the relevance of faith in their relationships and their lives.
My Review: I love stories by Erynn Magnum! I know her books are labeled YA but her reads are so funny! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE chocolate and caffeine; however, my caffeine addiction is sweet tea not coffee. I can relate to Maya in this story, simply because I was a young woman at one point in my life, seeking God's best. This is a fast read with ALOT of references to lattes and cappuccinos with a few herbal teas mixed in. Maya is a young christian lady who is trying to work out her family issues and dating issues. I do enjoy Eyrnn's writing and I absolutely enjoy that there are good qualities of modesty in this book. No bad words, no sexual references (boy does kiss girl) a lot about devotions/Bible study groups and making God NUMBER 1. This is definitely a 5 star book that I would gift to my nieces. If you need a light, summer read or a great gift book for the over 15 girl---this is THAT book!
This sounds like a great YA read. I'm with you, we have our herbal teas every night. We have quite a collection. But I definitely like my chocolate, too.
