She is the one who bore Judah who was the fore father to Christ. She didn't know it (until Heaven) that she was blessed maybe not in the same way as Mary, but still blessed.

As in the case of David being choosen to be King, "But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature: because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth: for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart." I Samuel 16:7. Could the same be said about Leah? Was there more to her heart than we see in the scriptures? Was Rachel conceited in her beauty and that she captured Jacob's heart?

Also it was through one of Leah's sons that Moses came, Levi. He was another saviour to God's people. Of course Rachel produced a saviour also, Joseph who saved his family and the known world from starvation. He also is a great example for us to follow. In the end though it was Leah that had the bigger blessing.

It is a lesson for us to be content with what God has given us, because we don't know ultimately how he is going to use us or our family. There are times when I don't feel worthy, but then I see the times God has moved in my life or the lives of my family and realized "Being confident of this very thing that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6. The verse says until the day of Jesus Christ. That could be long after I'm gone, yet the good work He begun in me will still be going on as it has in the lives of all his children. What a blessing!MANhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08228850902533661294noreply@blogger.com
